IF4 GETS A “LITTLE” BUSY

This past Friday evening we hosted a screening of the International Fly Fishing Film Festival at The Little Theater in Rochester, NY. Doors opened a little before six and we were greeted by folks already getting in line for tickets. Once everyone had their seats, we kicked off the night with a few Thank You’s and a whole bunch of door prizes that included restaurant gift certificates, ball caps from Kast Gear and Thomas & Thomas, fly lines from Airflo and RIO, and a killer box of hand-tied bass flies from Mike Simmons.

Then, the main attraction…the films.

About halfway through the line-up we took a short break and made some people very happy with our big raffle items: a Heavyweight Tech Top and Hell Razor Jacket from Kast Gear, a 9′ 6wt NS fly rod from Thomas & Thomas, guided fly fishing trips from Jackson’s Fly Fishing and Wide Sky Fly Fishing, a beautiful framed Snake River Cutthroat photograph print from Grant Taylor and a breathtaking painting of the Payette River in Idaho by Beth Smythe (fishingpoet’s mom).

After the break we got back to the films, including our own – A Deliberate Life.
And it was pretty damn fantastic seeing it on the big screen.

But when everything was said and done, it was a stellar evening, shared with stellar people. We are wildly grateful to everyone who came out to support us, and also those that couldn’t make it but gave us a shout anyhow. Thank you all.

Thank you also to James Bogue, T.C. Pellett and Joe Mayernik for not only being seriously cool cats, but for taking some fantastic pics too.
